Jobs for disabled people:

There are several associations that seek to give employment to the handicapped, one is APEDV (Employment Promotion Association of Blind) which belongs to the group of institutions designated by Private Institutions of Social Solidarity (IPSS), which are not profit oriented. The purpose of this association is to help visually impaired in all that is necessary, possible and desirable.

This combination offers the visually impaired (blind and partially sighted) training in the areas of: Telephone / Receptionist, Massage Therapy, Trainers, computer operators, administrative personnel, workers and other technicians. There are around 60 disabled people who attend these courses every day. Generally these courses can last between one and three years. When it comes to a course of two or three years, the last year is done on a stage hoping to become the place of employment of the trainee, which often happens.

One reason that explains the lack of disabled employees is a lack of self-esteem, are already accustomed to discrimination, with difficulties in getting it convinced many that are not contracted and therefore not seeking employment.
